Ukraine’s energy system is ready for any temperature mode, including extreme cold spells in the winter. Ihor Nasalyk, Ukraine’s Energy Minister, said this while on air at 112 Ukraine TV channel.
‘There will be no risks for heating systems; the facilities are ready to harsh winter temperatures. We expect them to work even under 25 or 28 degrees below zero. We’ve got to the point where we can avoid importing gas from Europe or Russia or any other country. We should be capable to live within our own means. I think that’s a good thing,’ he said.
