Ukraine has a debt before the World Health Organization (WHO) in the sum of $6.7 million as RBK-Ukraine reported citing Head of the WHO in Ukraine Jarno Habicht.
According to Habicht, Ukraine paid the debt before the WHO in the sum of $15.7 during the previous years and now, the minor part of the debt remained.
“It will allow Ukraine to return and obtain the right of the vote in the Assembly, in different UN agencies,” the WHO Head in Ukraine noted.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the WHO refused to carry out the reforms it needs, and Washington is breaking all ties with this organization. Before this, Trump accused the WHO in the delay of the publication of information about coronavirus to suit the Chinese authorities and lack of seriousness about new virus and delaying of the declaration of the pandemic.
Later, the European Union called on U.S. President Donald Trump not to break relations with the World Health Organization.
