Ukraine's border guards detain 12 illegal migrants in Zakarpattya region

A local man escorted them as they tried to pass across the border; the migrants carried no IDs or other documents that would make their stay legal

Workers of Ukraine's State Border Guard detained a group of illegal migrants in Zakarpattya region, westernmost Ukraine. The incident occurred in Goronglab in Berehove district. The press office of the National Police of Ukraine reported that on November 4. 

"It was found out that a 36-year-old resident of Berehove escorted the group of foreigners. The migrants had no IDs or the documents that would grant them the right to stay on the territory of our country", the message said.

The foreigners were taken to the point of temporary detention of illegal migrants of Mukachevo Border Guard Unit. As the investigation into the violation is underway, the local man is charged with the illegal transfer across the state border of Ukraine.
