The government enterprise “The system of electronic action of the seized property” sold Boeing B 737/524, which previously belonged to the Russian company “Transaero” and was seized due to debts. The press service of electronic auction reports this.

The plain price reached $66,800 once the auction had ended.

“The plane was bought on the other bidding by a lower price. It is perfectly well for flying after the small technical maintenance. I think the owner will be rather pleased with it. This is the fourth plane we have ever sold, but this one is the biggest and the most expensive one”, - Viktor Vyshniov, the General Director of the government enterprise, said, as UNIAN reports.

The plane's first flight was on June 6, 1998, and the last one was on October 2015. It is still unknown the current technical condition and whether the Boeing needs repair.

As we reported earlier, General Director of "Transaero" Dmitriy Saprykin announced the intention to apply to the arbitration court to declare the bankruptcy of Russian airline.

It has been reported that by March 2015, Transaero had accumulated around 1.1 bln EUR of debt. According to the experts, in recent years the biggest private airline "Transaero" increased its fleet and passenger traffic ignoring adequate market demands.

Against this backdrop, the war between Russia and Ukraine in the sky reaches its peak: starting from October 25, flights between the Ukrainian and Russian cities are not performed.
