On March 2, Ambassador of Ukraine in Israel Yevhen Korniychuk held working meetings with the Association's assistance for the development and cooperation Israel-Ukraine, as well as leadership of Israeli Naandanjain that specializes on production and commercialization of irrigation systems and greenhouse complexes as Ukraine’s Embassy in Israel reported.
“During the meeting, the prospects of the cooperation of the mentioned company with Ukraine were discussed, particularly, at the regional level in the context of the implementation of the best possible solutions for modernization of particular sectors of the agriculture,” the message said.
Korniychuk visited one of the largest kibbutzim in Israel – Naan. There, he familiarized himself with the leading development and technologies in the sphere of irrigation for the growing of different fruit and vegetable crops.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Free Trade Zone between Ukraine and Israel would start operating on January 1, 2021.
As we reported earlier, the reason for the delay in ratification of the FTZ agreement between Ukraine and Israel was the constant re-election of the Knesset.
"In Israel, we are now going to the third round of parliamentary elections. This means that some processes have been suspended for more than a year. We signed a free trade zone agreement with Ukraine a year ago. It was not ratified. It could not be ratified by Israel. Therefore, it is not working right now," reads the message.
