In September 2020, Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkSATSE) provided 14,959 flights with air navigation services, which is 56.6% less than in September 2019. This was reported by UkSATSE’s press service.
"Ukrainian airlines performed 6,100 flights (43.6% less than in September last year), foreign airlines - 8,859 flights (-62.6%). Distribution of flights by type: 2,710 flights were performed in September - domestic (-0,3% compared to September 2019), 7017 - international (-55.4%), 5232 - transit (-67.4%),” the statement said.
The agency reminded that there had been a ban on crossing the border for foreign citizens, which affected the number of international flights.
As we reported earlier, Ryanair is launching two new flights from Ukraine. They will be performed from Kyiv to Cologne and from Odesa to Dusseldorf.
Flights from Kyiv to Cologne start from October 25 on Thursdays and Fridays. Flights from Odesa to Dusseldorf will be running from November 6 on Mondays and Fridays.
