As of the morning of August 7, 339 settlements are de-energized as a result of worsening weather conditions (rain, thunderstorm, gusts of wind). This was reported by the press service of the State Emergencies Ministry.
The blackout occurred due to the operation of automatic protection systems for power lines (PTL).
The settlements in eight regions were left without electricity: Poltava (78 settlements), Cherkasy (59), Chernihiv (55), Odesa (47), Sumy (40), Khmelnytska (28), Kirovohradska (24), Mykolaivska (8).
Local emergency crews are involved in the restoration of the power supply.
Also, according to the State Emergencies Ministry, in the territory of certain regions as a result of complicating weather conditions (gusts of wind, rain, thunderstorm), the roofs of 20 buildings were partially damaged, 6 residential buildings, 34 households were partially flooded and 163 trees were felled. No casualties were reported.
