Economically Ukraine will not survive a complete lockdown. Health Minister Maxym Stepanov told about this at a briefing.

"Many European countries have resorted to a full lockdown. But our country has features that are called "we economically cannot withstand a full lockdown"... Therefore, we need to find another solution. We found it - this is a weekend quarantine," Stepanov said.

Ukraine has entered the final stage of signing an agreement with Pfizer for the supply of a vaccine against coronavirus. Negotiations are also underway with other manufacturers. This was stated by the Minister of Health Maxym Stepanov, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports.

"In addition to the COVAX initiative, which we have already joined, we are in talks and already at the stage of signing contracts with Pfizer, with another American companies Moderna, Sinovac, Sinopharm ... They are all at the final stage of research, so we are all in constant contact. The issue of the vaccine against Covid-19 for Ukraine is a priority today for the President of Ukraine, the government and the Ministry of Health", said Stepanov.
