Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe Dmytro Kuleba urged the Commissioner for Human Rights of Council of Europe Nils Muiznieks to take measures to release the citizen of Ukraine Pavlo Gryb who is illegally detained in Russia. Kuleba reported this at Twitter.

‘I said about the kidnapping of Pavlo Gryb at the Committee of Council of Europe ministers and urged the Commissioner for Human Rights to assume measures for his release’, Kuleba said.

Earlier, the officer of the Border Guard Service of Ukraine Igor Gryb published at Facebook that his son 19-years old Pavlo Gryb got lost in Belarus on August 24. His son went to Gomel to meet a girl with whom he got acquainted and communicated in the social networks.

He supposed that 'the Russian FSB lured out Pavlo to Gomel under the pretence of the meeting with a girl and then detained him'.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Chernihiv investigated the criminal proceeding with the preliminary legal assessment under the part 1, article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional homicide).

The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Valeriya Lutkovska appealed to the Russian Commissioner for Human Rights Tatiana Moskalkova concerning the lost citizen of Ukraine Pavlo Gryb due to the presence of the information that he was transferred to the law enforcements of Russia.

The Russian special services detained the citizen of Ukraine Pavlo Gryb on August 25 the next day after his crossing of the Belarusian border. The representatives of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and advocate were not allowed to visit him. The Belarusian side confirmed the fact of the crossing of the border by Gryb only on August 31. The representatives of defense came to the remand prison in Krasnodar where the citizen of Ukraine Pavlo Gryb is jailed but they also were not allowed to see him.

The father of Pavlo Gryb also claimed about possible mortal consequences of the detention of his son without medicines.
