The representatives of Turkey and Ukraine discussed cooperation in the sphere of migration in the framework of the visit of the delegation of the Republic of Turkey, led by the head of the consular department of the Foreign Ministry Ambassador of Turkey Mehmet Samsara. This was reported in the press service of the Interior Ministry.

The visit of the delegation of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine was held in the framework of the next round of Ukrainian-Turkish consultations on migration issues continued on 26-27 January 2017. The main purpose of the visit was to discuss the issue of simplification of the regime of mutual travel of citizens of the two countries and development of cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey in the area of migration.

The representatives of Turkey noted the significant achievements of Ukraine in the process of manufacturing and issuing of the biometric documents, achievements in the field of migration and asylums. The representatives of Ukraine supported the offer to accelerate the simplification of the travel regime of citizens of both countries.
