By the end of May, Ukraine is supposed to get 1.4 million doses of anti-coronavirus vaccine developed by AstraZeneca company. Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko said so at a briefing on April 23.
At that, Lyashko said that 950,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine are supposed to reach Ukraine in June.
The official added that eight million doses of vaccine from coronavirus are supposed to be delivered in Ukraine within COVAX initiative.
We recently reported that Ukraine received 367,200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine, which was manufactured in South Korea. The medication was delivered within the COVAX global initiative. This batch of the vaccine that was brought to Ukraine by UNICEF and the World Health Organization will be used for vaccination of priority groups - people aged above 65 and those waiting for their second shot of this vaccine (specifically, the people who were vaccinated in February).
