The government of Ukraine will provide aid to India due to the catastrophic situation with coronavirus as Prime Minister Denys Shmygal stated.

“Concerning India’s issue. The government of Ukraine offered support to the government of India. Like all other countries, we have appealed to India and asked what aid they need. They refused everything except oxygen. Currently, we process technically these issues,” PM said.

In March, the new Covid-19 strain with the double mutation was observed in India. In April, the catastrophic situation with the spread of coronavirus occurred. During a week, the world records of growths of infected people were registered in the country.

Over 40 countries took commitments to help India in the provision of main medical needs. The Foreign Minister of India held a briefing with the heads of the missions all over the world to inform them about the current crisis. According to him, the import of oxygen for treatment of Covid-19 patients is a priority for India and 40 states declared their readiness to help.
