The Ukrainian president raised the issue about the preparation for the vaccination passports during the conference call.
“Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov noted that preliminary, it is planned to launch them from July 1, synchronized it with the relevant processes in the European Union,” the message said.
As we reported, the European Commission decided to launch digital vaccination certificates from July 1. The document is free of charge, secure and accessible to all. It will cover vaccination, test and recovery offering different options to the citizens.
After the European Commission reaches an agreement on the implementation of these certificates, it is necessary that the European Parliament and the Council of Europe formally adopt a corresponding resolution. The adopted decree should enter into force on July 1, 2021, with a six-week period for the issuance of Covid certificates to countries that need additional time.
