In the near future, Ukraine has a chance to obtain enough vaccine to get four million people inoculated. Olena Kondratyuk, Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Parliament said so during the session of the conciliatory council. 

'The only thing Ukraine can rely on now is the supply of insignificant number of vaccine from coronavirus in the first six months of 2021 (...) That makes some eight million doses of vaccine, which would suffice for four million of Ukraine's population. However, according to the Healthcare Ministry, 20 million Ukrainians need urgent vaccination, which includes people from all zones of risk groups, particularly, elderly people", Kondratyuk said.

The official claimed that, thus, Ukraine actually needs at least 40,000 doses.

On December 12, COVAX mechanism officially approved Ukraine's vaccine supply request. According to Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko, Ukraine will definitely get eight million doses of vaccine.
