Ukraine to get two new drugs against Covid-19, - Health Minister

Ukraine will receive two new drugs for the treatment of Covid-19 at the end of the autumn-the beginning of winter, as Ukrainske Radio reported citing Health Minister Viktor Lyashko.

“New innovation drugs with the direct effect that allow treating coronavirus appear in the world.  Today, we have three drugs at the third stage of the clinical trials. Ukraine has agreed on the priority supply of two drugs at the end of the autumn - the beginning of winter,” Lyashko.

The minister added that as of now, Ukraine has four drugs that effectively protect (after two doses) from the severe form of Covid-19.

As we reported, scientists from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU) predict that the incidence of Covid-19 in Ukraine will increase over the next two weeks. The researchers added that high rates of morbidity could be expected when the Delta strain reaches a share close to 90% of new cases.
