The first batch of Pfizer company's vaccine against Covid-19 is to reach Ukraine on April 14. Healthcare Minister Maksym Stepanov reported that during an evening show at 1+1 TV channel.

"The first 117,000 doses that are supposed to be delivered within COVAX initiative, should be in Ukraine on April 14-15, according to the latest message", he said.

According to Stepanov, first of all, the vaccines will be directed to specialized care homes for elderly people and the social workers who work there.

Meanwhile, Kyiv doctors are getting ready to receive patients with coronavirus in maternity hospitals, child health centres and tuberculosis dispensaries. The news appeared on Coronavirus_Info Telegram channel.

"It must be the worst outbreak that we can observe in most regions since the beginning of the pandemic. The hospitals are full; doctors and nurses are exhausted, and the number of new infections and deaths breaks records", reads the message.

Vitaliy Klitschko, Kyiv mayor visited one of the city hospitals and talked to doctors. According to them, the hospitals are full by 110 percent, and the capital city's healthcare system works above and beyond its capacity.
