The EU will allocate Ukraine 58.6 million dollars within the program of humanitarian aid to Donbas. It was stated at the joint press-conference of Minister for Occupied Territories and IDPs Vadym Chernysh and representatives of the European Commission as the press service of the ministry reported.
Director of Directorate of the European Commission on Europe Jean-Louis De Brouwer noted that the EU plans to support Ukraine on the issue of the provision of the citizens of Donbas with the accommodation and water, health protection and broaden options for the education.
The program of the humanitarian aid will start to work since the next year.
‘It is important to show that the reforms at the controlled part of the Ukrainian East are possible as at the rest of the territory. The first part of the support program that we consider provides 58.6 million dollars and will start to work since the next year’, Head of the Support Group for Ukraine Peter Wagner claimed.
