The National Technical Group of Experts on Immunization on January 5 will consider the possibility of introducing booster vaccination against coronavirus for all comers. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Health, the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Ihor Kuzin in an interview with Suspilne.
"We are waiting for the decision of NTGEI, which will be held on January 5, which will consider the issue of universal access to a booster dose for all comers," Kuzin said.
There are currently 1,400 mobile teams, more than 3,500 vaccination points and more than 500 vaccination centers in Ukraine.
Earlier, the National Technical Group of Experts on Immunization supported the use of a booster dose of coronavirus vaccine for people over 60.
"Last week, a meeting of the National Technical Group of Experts was held to consider the wider use of the booster dose and decided to use the booster dose for the elderly over 60+," he said.
A booster dose is recommended 6 months after completion of the basic vaccination course.
