Public events will be cancelled in the near future due to the outbreak of coronavirus in Ukraine. Deputy Minister of Health and Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Liashko said this during a briefing broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV Channel.
“Unfortunately, we will have to introduce restrictive anti-epidemic measures in the near future,” he said.
According to Liashko, these are forced measures that will help reduce the large crowds as the coronavirus is transmitted by airborne droplets.
Meanwhile, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in the Poltava region with a working visit. He is expected to meet quarantined evacuees from China in Novi Sanzhary.
As we reported earlier, two more people were hospitalized at the infectious ward of the hospital in Chernivtsi with suspicion of Covid-2019.
Their samples were submitted to Kyiv in order to be tested for coronavirus infection.
As of now, almost 10 people are being tested for the COVID-2019 in Ukraine. They are isolated and waiting for the results.
