Earlier, we reported that construction works of ITER experimental energy-efficient thermonuclear reactor began in France. According to The Guardian, scientists assume that the new project could become a breakthrough in the energy sector thanks to the environmental friendliness of nuclear synthesis.

If the project succeeds, the humankind could enjoy a new, efficient, and safe energy source.

Unlike most reactors, where the energy is produced thanks to the nuclear disintegration process, ITER will be using the environmentally safe technology of nuclear synthesis.
