The Ukrainian army tested UAV Horlytsia (Ukrainian for ‘turtle dove’, - 112 International); according to Oleksandr Turchynov, Ukraine’s Secretary of National Security and Defense Council, the test took place at Gostomel air field in Kyiv region on Wednesday.  

The new drones is designed and developed by Antonov aviation plant, the state-run enterprise and part of Ukroboronprom concern.

Horlytsia can perform optoelectronic surveillance flights within the range up to 1,050 km, reaching the altitude of 2,4 km. The device is capable of exchanging the recorded data with commanding posts of tank, artillery, missile forces and aviation units, for more effective combat use.
