The quality of trial processing in Ukraine has grown over the past year. Currently, the figure makes 11.5 points of 18, which meets high indexes among the OECD member countries (OECD, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, - 112 International). This is mentioned in the Doing Business 2019 report.
'Ukraine made enforcing contracts easier by introducing a simplified procedure for small claims and pretrial conferences as part of the case management techniques used in all commercial courts', the paper says. The report also states that this became possible thanks to the judicial reform in Ukraine.
Ukraine's respective index of 11.5 points is close to but somewhat loses to France, Hungary, Greece (12), Latvia (12.5 points). Ukraine's judicial system demonstrates better results than Poland (11), Bulgaria (10.5), China (Hong Kong (10)) and Belgium (8).
In the overall ranking, Ukraine is rated 71st among 190 countries; that's five ranks up compared with the last year's index.
