As of June 19, 34,984 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Ukraine. Over the past 24 hours, 921 people have become infected, which is a new anti-record. This was reported on the website of the National Security and Defense Council.
Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic in the country, 985 people have died as a result of complications caused by the disease (19 of them – over the last day).
However, 16,000 patients have already managed to recover.
As we reported earlier, Ministry of Health has developed three main scenarios for the development of the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine.
According to Ukraine's Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko, in the worst case scenario, strict adaptive lockdown may be introduced in some regions starting from June 22.
"We are not saying that in two weeks we will close the country for lockdown. This schedule shows that strict quarantine can be introduced in some areas of our country on June 22. The growth dynamics may show this," Lyashko said.
