Over the past 24 hours, 5,082 people have contracted coronavirus in Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.

"According to the Public Health Center, as of February 4, 5,082 new cases of coronavirus disease were registered in Ukraine (including 258 children, 220 medical workers). The number of active patients is 153,611," reads the message. 

The largest numbers of confirmed cases were registered in the city of Kyiv (342), Khmelnytskyi (429), Ivano-Frankivsk (354), Lviv (308), and Kharkiv (299) oblasts.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1,232,246 people have contracted the disease, 1,055,406 (+9,933) have overcome it, 23,229 (+140) - have succumbed to it.

As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the government to make the registration for the vaccination process simple and understandable for the population.

"The government must clearly explain to people how to register for the Covid-19 vaccination and how this process will take place. The online platform should be clear and convenient," he stated.
