Ukraine’s Ministry of Health has updated the list of countries with a significant number of active cases of coronavirus infection. This was reported by the ministry’s press service.

The list of "red zone" countries includes 50 countries, Ukraine is among them.

Thus, as of June 25, there are 21,183 active cases of coronavirus in Ukraine. And there are 50.6 active cases per 100 thousand population.

As we reported earlier, on June 26, Ukraine reported 1,109 new cases of coronavirus infection

As of Friday morning, June 26, 1,086 people died from the coronavirus (+19 per) and another 17,409 recovered (no new cases during the day). The total number of infected in Ukraine is 41,117.

These numbers make Kyiv city authorities consider a possible return to strict lockdown restrictions.

"The virus has not stepped back. And if the number of patients increases and the number of vacant beds in support hospitals decreases significantly in the coming days, we will be forced to return to strict restrictions. Including public transport. And, I emphasize, we are getting closer to applying such a decision," Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko stated.
