The new batch of the Pfizer vaccine against coronavirus has arrived at Kyiv International Airport on May 18. 122,850 doses of drugs were supplied to Ukraine as UNICEF reported.

Besides, it is reported that almost 500,000 doses of this vaccine will be supplied to Ukraine this week.

“It is the first out of four freights of the new batch. Totally, until the end of the week, UNICEF will supply 473,850 doses of the vaccine and solvent agent for injections,” the message says.

It is expected that 378,000 doses of the vaccine will aim for the vaccination with the first and second dose of the education sphere employees. Others will be used for priority groups from the first and second stage of vaccination.

As we reported, Ukraine will receive 1.2 million doses of coronavirus vaccines by the end of this month. 700,000 doses of the CoviShield vaccine are planned will be delivered in May as part of the global COVAX initiative. According to preliminary data, the drug will arrive in the country on May 24-25.
