Ukraine ranks 14th in the number of new cases

Over 389,000 new cases of coronavirus infection were diagnosed in the world on November 27. Most deaths during the day come from coronavirus in Russia and Ukraine, Worldometers data shows.

Thus, according to the site, the highest number of deaths from coronavirus during the day was recorded in Russia (1,224), Ukraine (400) and Mexico (245).

Most new cases were found in Germany, Britain and Russia.

In particular, over 38,000 new infections were recorded in Germany, more than 37,000 in Britain and more than 33,000 in Russia.

Next in the number of patients in the ranking are France and the Netherlands. Ukraine is in 14th place.

As it was reported, head of the Center for Health Economics of the Kyiv School of Economics Yuri Hanychenko stated that new Covid-19 cases are expected to rise in January 2022 unless a lockdown is introduced, which this year helped delay the coronavirus wave until mid-February.

According to the researcher, it is too early to say that Ukraine has passed the peak incidence of the autumn wave Covid-19.

At the same time, scientists from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine have concluded that the country has passed the peak incidence of coronavirus and the third wave of the pandemic has declined.
