Ukraine, where 2,966 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded, ranked 2nd in Europe in mortality rate from coronavirus per day. At the same time, the country ranks 6th in the world in terms of the number of patients who die per day. This is stated on the Worldometers website.
According to the published data, in total in the world 30,976,621 people fell ill with Covid-19 (over the last day - 291,222), 22,577,829 patients recovered (241,545 on September 19), and 960,872 died (5142 over the last day).
So, in Europe over the previous day, the highest mortality rate was recorded in Russia. Ukraine took second place in mortality from coronavirus per day among European countries. The top five countries with the highest number of deaths per day also included Romania, Poland, and Hungary.
The largest number of new deaths in the world were recorded in Mexico, Iran, Indonesia, Russia, and the Philippines. Ukraine ranks sixth. Bolivia, Romania, Bangladesh, and India are also among the top ten countries with the highest number of deaths per day in the world.
Over the past day, 2966 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 175,678 people have been confirmed to have coronavirus in the country.
