This year, Ukraine is ranked 92nd in the world prosperity ranking, which includes 164 countries. It now takes place between the two poorest countries in South and Central America - Guyana and El Salvador. This is evidenced by data provided by the Legatum Institute.
The ranking was formed taking into account such parameters as: safety and security, personal freedom, governance, social capital, investment environment, enterprise conditions, market access and infrastructure, economic quality, living conditions, education, health, and natural environment.
"The deterioration in Eastern Europe’s safety and security has been driven primarily by the war in Donbas, Ukraine (144th): it is estimated that more than 13,000 people have been killed since the conflict began, and more than 1.6 million Ukrainians have been internally displaced," the statement said.
As we reported earlier, Kyiv takes the first place among the European cities and the eighth place in the world in the number of high-rise buildings.
Thus, 1,199 buildings higher than 35 meters (12 floors) observed in Ukraine's capital.
