According to Stepanov, the number of tests is constantly increasing. The government purchases them from China and South Korea.
"Ukraine is fully equipped with the required number of PCR tests. Today we have about 200,000 PCR tests ... We have started the production of our own Ukrainian PCR tests. In this regard, we are fully provided," he said.
In addition, the Minister of Health stated that Ukraine had a sufficient number of artificial lung ventilation devices.
As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the peak of COVID-19 incidence was expected to take place in the second decade of April.
"Analyzing the statistics of those who got sick in Ukraine, one can observe certain stabilization [of the situation]. There was no rapid jump, thanks in particular to the consciousness of citizens who live up to self-isolation. And this should continue. We have to be clearly conscious of this: it is too soon to get relaxed. It is dangerous to relax. If Italy and Spain already passed or still recover after the peak of the epidemic, we have still got the major and defining period up ahead. This is the second decade of April," the president said.
