Ukrainian Defense Ministry has developed its own technical specification "Modular bulletproof vest" that meets NATO standards. This was announced by Defense Minister Andriy Taran, the ministry’s press service reports.
"The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has developed its own technical specification ‘Modular bulletproof vest’. Prior to that, the Armed Forces and military formations in Ukraine purchased bulletproof vests on commercial technical terms. It is the first time the Defense Ministry has established such conditions," Taran said.

It is noted that the technical specification applies the requirements of state and military standards, and the US Army standard is used to verify the assessment of quality.
As we reported earlier, on June 12, Ukraine became NATO's sixth Enhanced Opportunities Partner, alongside Australia, Finland, Georgia, Jordan, and Sweden.
According to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, this would allow Ukraine to get access to NATO exercises and a greater exchange of information.
