The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to introduce adaptive quarantine from May 22 and mitigate it stage by stage. Each stage will last for about 10 days as 112 Ukraine TV channel reported citing Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov.

“Starting from May 22, we offer – the so-called adaptive quarantine will be imposed, respectively, by the government. What is it? To make it more controlled and clear, we introduce mitigation stages. Each stage will take 10 days and it will start from May 22,” Stepanov said.

The Health Ministry of Ukraine will draw attention to the fact of how much the hospitals are filled, this rate should not surpass 50%.

“If this or that region sticks to particular criteria – it may proceed to another mitigation stage. These stages will be introduced on May 22, then on June 1, June 10 and starting from June 21,” Stepanov said.

The government plans to restore the city and suburban transport, hold sports events.  

Another 260 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Ukraine over the past 24 hours: the overall number of cases has reached 18,876. As of now, 548 deaths have been officially observed, 5,632 patients have recovered.
