After the beginning of vaccination campaign in Ukraine, the government plans to complete five million inoculations every month. Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko said so in his interview with UNICEF medical expert.

"If we correctly assume the capabilities of our healthcare system, we will be able to complete approximately five million inoculations monthly. And that's without including the rooms that are used for routine vaccinations", Lyashko said.

According to him, under the condition that there is enough vaccine and public attention, the mentioned number of injections can be increased twice, up to 10,000,000 per month.

On February 3, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal claimed that in the near future, Ukraine could get the first batch of vaccine from coronavirus from Pfizer/BioNTech.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has given its explanation for the decrease in the number of patients with Covid-19. It is reported that people tend to see doctors less and as a result - do fewer PCR tests. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmygal during a conference call, the press service of the President's Office reports.

"Against the background of declining indicators, it is a confirmed fact that people tend to see doctors less and do fewer PCR tests. They get sick at home and decide to go to the doctor or get hospitalized only in case of deterioration and serious illness," said Shmygal.
