Ukraine plans to buy Neptune cruise missiles in 2020. This was stated by Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Andriy Zagorodniuk, Radio Svoboda reports.

He added that this rocket, which was developed at the Luch Design Bureau located in Kyiv, had been tested the previous fall.

"It (the Neptune rocket, - ed.) has only been tested. And we are planning to buy them this year,"  Zagorodniuk said.

Defense Minister claims that this missile is designed with "interesting technology and has great security prospects". Zagorodniuk assures that the development of missile and artillery technologies is a high priority.

As we reported earlier, Ukraine and Turkey endorsed an agreement on military-financial cooperation

The agreement was signed by Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Andriy Zagorodniuk and Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance Berat Albayrak.

President of Ukraine stated that, under the agreement, Ukrainian troops would receive assistance from Turkey, and expressed his gratitude to the Turkish side.
