As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers has extended the emergency situation in Ukraine until December 31, 2020.
“Due to the extension of the quarantine, the necessity appeared to extend for the united state system of civilian protection in the whole territory of Ukraine of the emergency situation until December 31, 2020,” reads the message.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenky stated, in turn, that a strict quarantine would be introduced in the country if the number of newly infected people per day exceeded 9,500.
"The situation will become critical for the medical system of Ukraine when there are more than 9,500 daily infections with coronavirus. If we have more than 9500 infected daily, we will be forced to introduce strict quarantine. But then the economy of our country will stop and it will be very difficult for everyone," he said.
