There is no Ukrainian region that is ready to ease quarantine restrictions: the main reason is a high level of Covid-19 incidence. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Health.

It is noted that over the last 14 days the number of new cases in all regions of the country has been more than 40 per 100,000 population. On average, it is 109.2 per 40,000 population.

In addition, bed occupancy in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Luhansk, Odesa, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, and Chernivtsi regions is over 50%.

The largest number of occupied beds is observed in the Ternopil region - 339.3.

As we reported earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) does not rule out an increase in deaths due to Covid-19 and other factors by the end of October-beginning of November.

"Given three factors - school opening, flu season, high winter mortality in the winter - combined with Covid-19, I am afraid we will see an increase in mortality in late October-November. However, the good news is that we know what to do," Director of the European Regional Office Hans Kluge said.
