Ukraine, Nigeria to begin joint research in space sphere

Ukraine plans to conclude a memorandum on the cooperation in the sphere of space research with Nigeria as Ukrainian News reported citing order #136-r of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The memorandum project has been already approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. Pavlo Dehtyarenko, the Chairman of the State Space Agency of Ukraine is authorized to sign it.

According to the document, Ukraine will begin the cooperation with Nigeria to hold the research of space, including astrophysical and planetary, remote sensing of the Earth, spheres of space meteorology, satellite navigation and space communication. Besides, it is planned to hold the joint development of the spacecraft.

It is expected that the signing of the memorandum will facilitate the promotion of the Ukrainian space industry at the world markets and will attract foreign investments.
