On Friday, the National Police of Ukraine marks its second anniversary.

The respective decree signed by President Petro Poroshenko on August 4, 2015, gave the newly created National Police of Ukraine power and responsibility to serve and protect.

Leaders of the state congratulated the police staff, marking their merits before the society.

Specifically, President Petro Poroshenko stressed that ‘the Ukrainian police are known for their serving the greater good and justice’.

Congratulating police servicemen, Premier Volodymyr Groysman marked that over the first six months in 2017, the overall crime rate dropped by 16.5 percent, which is ‘the result of your hard work’.  ‘Serenity in our cities, villages, regions and the whole state lies with you. I am thankful for every police agent’s job that they do well. I wish you success, sound health and peace!’, reads the Prime Minister's congratulation.
