On July 20, in Rome, a new agreement was signed between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Italian Republic on the mutual recognition and exchange of national driver's licenses. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The agreement was signed by Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov and Minister of Infrastructure and Mobility of Italy Enrico Giovannini.
It is noted that the provisions of the agreement will regulate between the contracting parties the issue of mutual recognition and exchange of driver's licenses of citizens of Ukraine and Italy who have chosen the territory of the other Party without passing examinations when exchanging driver's licenses of another state. This will allow citizens to avoid additional financial costs for such examinations.
The agreement was concluded for a period of 5 years.
As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a memorandum between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the United Arab Emirates. The document provides for mutual recognition and exchange of driver's licenses.
"The purpose of the memorandum is to create an opportunity for citizens of Ukraine and the UAE who move to another country to exchange national certificates under a simplified procedure," the explanatory note reads.
