The European Union removed Ukraine from the green travel list on November 9. And this means a recommendation not to travel for the purpose of tourism and leave only necessary reasons, such as work or study.

But there is good news: in contrast to the period of the beginning of the pandemic, many European countries will not use the recommendations of the EU Council and left their borders open for tourists from Ukraine. After all, each country makes such a decision independently. But many have changed the rules.

We will tell you where Ukrainian travelers can go now and on what conditions.


France will not close its borders to Ukrainian citizens, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Twitter.

Condition - you must complete a full course of vaccination with one of the drugs recognized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA): Pfizer / Comirnaty, Moderna, AstraZeneca / Vaxzevria / Covishield and Janssen / Johnson & Johnson. Vaccination is considered complete if 28 days have passed since the vaccination with Janssen vaccine and 7 days since the second dose in case of vaccination with other vaccines - Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca / Vaxzevria / Covishield).

These conditions came into effect on November 11.


On November 12, the Spanish Ministry of Health removed Ukraine from the list of safe countries. But the entry for tourists from Ukraine will be possible with full vaccination. You also need to fill out the sanitary control form on the website in advance, the QR code received after filling out the form should be saved and provided to the representatives of the carrier company before boarding, as well as to the sanitary control services at the checkpoint at the airport in Spain.

The new rules will take effect from November 15th.


Denmark will not close its borders to Ukrainians who have completed a full course of vaccination with an EMA-approved drug. From November 10, entry is allowed for the vaccinated or with a PCR test and 10-day quarantine after arrival.

Covid certificate issued by Ukrainian Diya app is also accepted.


In Austria, on November 1, new entry rules began to operate. After the decision of the EU Council they were not revised. For Ukrainians, travel for tourist purposes remains possible for the vaccinated.

If a tourist is vaccinated or recovered from coronavirus, then he can arrive without prior registration and quarantine.

Austria recognizes the following vaccines: BioNtech / Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna, Sinopharm, Sinovac/CoronaVac.

If there is no certificate of complete vaccination or a certificate of recovery, then you can enter with preliminary online registration and 10-day quarantine. In this case, you will need to provide a PCR test or an antigen test.


Slovakia has left its borders open to Ukrainians who have completed a full course of vaccinations (including Sinovac/CoronaVac).


The Netherlands also did not close the borders for Ukrainian citizens who completed the full course of vaccination. In order to enter the country, in addition to the vaccination certificate, a negative test will also be required.

Czech Republic

The Czech Republic remains open to travel for vaccinated Ukrainians under the same conditions as before. It accepts certificates with EMA approved drugs.


Cyprus became the first country in the European Union to retain the possibility of entry for Ukrainians. The conditions remain - full vaccination and negative tests, which are done before and after arrival in the country at the expense of the passenger. The passenger must be in self-isolation until the test result is received.

The consular service said that the country recognizes vaccines from Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, Sputnik, Sinopharm, Sinovac/CoronaVac.


Fully vaccinated Ukrainians (with Comirnaty (BioNTech / Pfizer), AztraZeneca / Vaxzevria / Covishield, Covishield, CoronaVac) can freely travel to the country.


Croatia remains open for travel by Ukrainians under the same conditions as until now:

- negative PCR test or rapid antigen test;

- vaccination certificate (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Janssen)

- a certificate of recovery or one dose of vaccine.

  In the absence of one of the four aforementioned documents, entry into Croatia can be allowed, subject to the obligation to stay in self-isolation before passing the tests.


Belgium upheld tourist trips for vaccinated Ukrainian tourists. You need a certificate recognized by the EU countries for a complete vaccination course carried out with vaccines recognized by the EMA.

Before arriving in Belgium, you must complete the Passenger locator form (PLF). Persons over 12 years of age must have a negative PCR test done less than 72 hours before arriving in Belgium. You must be tested in Belgium on the 1st day (residents and non-residents) and the 7th day (residents and non-residents). And remain in quarantine until the first test is negative.


Sweden has no plans to close the border for Ukrainian tourists. Conditions of entry - full vaccination or negative test.


Entry for citizens of Ukraine to Portugal with a vaccination or test is currently allowed until November 30. But from December 1, only vaccinated people will be allowed to enter (EMA vaccines, mandatory certificate in Diya app).
