The rate of wheat exporting from Ukraine has dropped this month. The Economy Ministry's website reported that on April 7.
"The average daily shippings of wheat abroad in April make 14,000 tons, while in March, it was 44,000 tons", the authority reported.
As for April 6, the export of Ukrainian wheat made 17,9 million tons. According to the appendix to the Memorandum signed between the Ministry and the association of exporters and reproducers of what, the limit for export of grain in this marketing season is set on the level of 20.2 million tons. Thus, 2.3 tons remain available for the period from April till June 2020.
The Agrarian Fund of Ukraine sold 160,000 tons of wheat for domestic reproduction and sale in domestic markets, whicl allowed to produce some 128,000 tons of wheat flour.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the decree, according to which the export of buckwheat will be forbidden until July 1, 2020. The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture reported that on April 3.
This is a temporary measure to protect the domestic market, the government says. Previously, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan also made respective decisions.
The Cabinet also urged Ukrainian agrarian enterprises to increase the sowing areas for growing the buckwheat.
