Healthcare Ministry expects recommendations from a group of experts in immunoprophylaxis

Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry could launch the vaccination against coronavirus for children aged over 12 years old. The authority will receive respective recommendations from a group of experts in immunoprophylaxis. Fedir Lapiy, the head of the national technical group for immunization reported that during an interview.

"...the group voted to recommend the Ministry make the vaccine against coronavirus available for everyone aged over 12. It concerns Pfizer vaccine. We also stress on the importance of vaccination of children against infectious diseases that are on the vaccination schedule already. Check your vaccination calendar and give one to your child to protect it against other infectious diseases - before going to get vaccinated yourself", Lapiy said.

He added that the Ministry is most likely to consider the recommendation of the group already this Friday (October 1, - 112 International).

Earlier, Ukraine's Healthcare Minister Viktor Lyashko stated that vaccination against Covid-19 will become compulsory for the education officials and the entire taff in kindergartens, schools, colleges and universities.
