As of early October 7, the number of those infected with Covid-19 in Ukraine reached 239,337. The daily number of new cases made 4,753. Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council reported that on October 7.
4,597 people have passed away because of the disease since the epidemic reached Ukraine (+77 over a day). 105,970 patients recovered (+2,569 over day).
The largest daily growth of infection rate was observed in the Kharkiv region; 685 people got sick there. 383 people got infected in Kyiv, and almost 200 cases have been registered in the Kyiv region.
The number of active Covid-19 cases makes 128,770 (+2,107 over a day).
It is stated that under certain conditions, people with Covid-19 infected others who were more than 6 feet away (6 feet – 1.8 meter). It took place in closed spaces with insufficient ventilation. Sometimes, an infected person was breathing hard, for example, during singing or physical exercises.
“CDC continues to believe, based on current science, that people are more likely to become infected the longer and closer they are to a person with COVID-19. Today’s update acknowledges the existence of some published reports showing limited, uncommon circumstances where people with COVID-19 infected others who were more than 6 feet away or shortly after the COVID-19-positive person left an area,” the message said.
