President Poroshenko congratulates teachers with their holiday

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko congratulated all teachers and education workers on their professional holiday. It is reported by the press service of Poroshenko.

"Teachers convey to younger generations not only knowledge but also life wisdom and experience, giving the warmth of their hearts. Being a teacher is an art that requires talent, perseverance, responsibility, and self-sacrifice. During these difficult times for our country your job becomes of utmost importance. After all, you entrusted a great mission - to educate the citizens that love their homeland with all their heart and soul and are constantly ready to defend its freedom and independence. That is why national patriotic education and civic education should be an integral component of the modern educational process", President said.

Poroshenko believes that the devotion to one’s calling and high professionalism will ensure Ukraine's European future.

Also, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman congratulated the educators.

"Today, the country is going through difficult times. In terms of military aggression and economic war against Russia we overcome the downturn of our economy, and launch the reforms step-by-step. One of the main priorities of the state policy is the development of education and science, bringing them closer to international standards. I sincerely respect and grateful for your tireless work of many years, for a lot of talent, wisdom and professionalism", Said the Prime Minister.

The Day of workers of education is celebrated in Ukraine today. The professional holiday of educators, teachers, and professors is celebrated annually on the first Sunday of October.
