Ukraine banned importing poultry products from Lubusz Voivodeship, western Poland. Ukraine's state service for food safety reported this on Thursday.

The highly pathogenic avian influenza virus was discovered in that region, which already made the EU authorities ban imports of poultry from Lubusz Voivodeship.

The export ban applies to poultry and relevant raw products, the Ukrainian authoritative body said.
