AstraZeneca announced plans to make a vaccine against coronavirus. Minister of Healthcare of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov announced this at a briefing today.
He noted that an alliance was created between four countries (Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands) and the vaccines were pre-ordered.
"Ukraine also appealed to these countries with a request that in the event of the appearance of a vaccine, our country should be a priority regarding its receipt," Stepanov said.
At the same time, the Minister emphasized that at the moment, there is no vaccine from Covid-19 in the world.
"The Ministry of Health of Ukraine monitors information on the development of vaccines against coronavirus in the world. So far there is no such vaccine," Stepanov notes.
As we reported before, as of the morning of July 11, 52 843 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Ukraine. Over the past day, Covid-19 was confirmed in 800 people.
Since the start of the pandemic, 1,372 people died in Ukraine from Covid-19 (+27 per day), 25,661 patients recovered (+861 people per day).
