The United Kingdom, Portugal, Russia and India are about to introduce the extra restrictions related to the spread of Delta coronavirus strain. That includes additional tests for anti-gene. Yuriy Hannichenko, the Director of Healthcare Centre of Kyiv School of Economics reported that on Facebook.

"We observe an increase, considerable growth in these countries (UK, Portugal, Russia, India, - 112 International), it can be compared with the one we observed during the beginning of the autumn wave of 2020. What could this mean? It could mean that now, in summer, in spite of the season-based nature, the outbreak beings in these countries - at least, in three countries, the UK, Russia and Portugal. This outbreak is, to large extent, caused by these exterior threats. And we're talking here about the Delta strain, or the Indian strain, as they called it until recently", Hannichenko said.

He added that Delta removes all the other strains detected in these countries. "That is, we observe season-based decline regarding other strains, but the Delta strain gains momentum. It is the threat that we repeatedly spoke about - the most widespread options of the virus can cause the outbreak in certain countries, including Ukraine", the official concluded.
