“Seven days have passed and we got vaccinated: England - 108,000, Wales - 7,897, Northern Ireland - 4,000, Scotland - 18,000. There are 137,897 people in the UK,” UK Vaccination Minister Nadima Zahavi said.

Meanwhile, the human medicines committee of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) will consider granting a permit for the use of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by BioNTech and Pfizer in the EU on December 21.
"An exceptional meeting of the CHMP has now been scheduled for December 21 to conclude if possible," the statement said.
At the same time, it was noted that the meeting planned for December 29 would be maintained if needed.
