UIA has not delayed a flight from Tehran due to a lack of information about the existence of a threat. The president of UIA Evgeny Dykhne said this to journalists at a press conference in Boryspil.

“At the time of departure from Boryspil airport, the airline had no information about possible threats. At the time of departure from the airport in Tehran, there was no information either, and no decisions were made by the responsible administrations,” - Dykhne said.

A company representative said that the airport in Tehran was operating normally. On the night of the tragedy, planes took off both before and after the crash.

According to him, none of the pilots and company representatives warned of any threats, although local authorities were obliged to close the airport.

“Open Flight Radar, it’s clear that the airspace over Tehran is open. Now all the airlines that flew are flying there. These are not individual decisions. There is international practice of the determination procedure. First of all, the country that regulates the airspace defines it,” - Dykhne said

According to him, they had information only with the media. He also does not see the guilt of Ukrainian government bodies.

As we reported, Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) will provide social benefits and compensation to families of those killed in the Boeing 737 air crash in Tehran.
