Representatives of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) special committee will make a visit to the occupied Crimea in early September of 2017. This was reported by the Director of UEFA Department of National Associations Zoran Lakovich, reports R-Sport.
"When we talk about the Crimea, we are talking about Kherson as well: UEFA is not a political organization, we can not solve political problems. Crimea is not the only region in Europe that is a political problem. Almost every country has political turmoil.
Our position is not to interfere in political affairs and try to develop the football itself. All our visits and projects will be connected with the development of football in Kherson, Ukraine and Crimea. I know that the special committee will visit Kherson and Crimea in early September," Lakovich said.
As we informed earlier, in July the UEFA inspection will come to Kyiv to choose the locations for the Champions League final.
